Cubit Terms of Service
Effective date: November 2, 2026
Last updated: November 2, 2026
These Terms are the agreement between you and CubitUSA LLC ("Cubit," "we," or "us"), for using the Cubit website (cubitlearning.com) and the Cubit learning app. By creating an account or using Cubit, you agree to these Terms. Please read them. If you do not agree, do not use Cubit.
1. Who can use Cubit
- Cubit is for families. Only a parent or legal guardian who is 18 or older can create an account.
- Only the parent can create child profiles, and only after giving consent as described in our Kids' Privacy Notice at cubitlearning.com/kids-privacy.
- You are responsible for your account, your password, and your parent PIN, and for how your children use Cubit under your account.
- Please keep your account details accurate, especially your email, since that is how we send important notices.
2. Price
- Cubit costs $49.99 per month per family, or $539.89 per year per family (10% off twelve monthly payments). The price is per family, not per child. Every child in your household can have a profile at no extra cost.
- Prices are in US dollars.
- Prices are not locked or guaranteed for any length of time, and there is no lifetime price. If we ever change the price, you get advance notice as explained in section 6.
3. Billing and renewal
- Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period (every month for monthly plans, every year for yearly plans) and is charged to your payment method on file until you cancel.
- We will send you a reminder by email and in the app before every renewal: 7 days before for monthly plans and 30 days before for yearly plans.
- Payments are handled by Stripe. We do not store your full card number.
- If a payment fails, we will let you know and may pause your account until it is fixed.
4. Cancel anytime
- You can cancel at any time in one tap in the Parent area. No phone call, no survey, and no need to contact anyone.
- Your cancellation is effective immediately. We will not charge you again.
- You keep access until the end of the billing period you already paid for (the month for monthly plans, the year for yearly plans).
- We will show you a cancellation confirmation on screen and send one by email.
- Canceling does not delete your children's information automatically. You can delete it at any time in the Parent area, and inactive accounts are deleted on the schedule in our Kids' Privacy Notice.
5. Refunds
- Full refund in the first 30 days. If you cancel within 30 days of your first paid charge, we refund everything you have paid, on a monthly or a yearly plan. No questions asked. This applies to a family's first subscription.
- After 30 days, refunds are not guaranteed. We may give a refund in special cases at our choice, but we do not promise one.
- Refunds go back to the original payment method. Refunds usually show up within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.
6. Our promise: 60 days' notice before price or course changes
We will give you at least 60 days' notice before we:
- Raise the price, or
- Remove a course or subject, or make a major cut to a course or to how lessons are paced.
We will send this notice by email to the address on your account and show it in the Parent area, along with the date of our last change. The change will not apply to you until the 60 days have passed, and you can cancel at any time before then (or after) as explained in section 4.
This promise binds Cubit, not you. You are never locked in and can always cancel anytime.
Adding new lessons, fixing mistakes, and improving existing lessons are not "changes" that need notice.
7. Homeschooling is your responsibility
- Cubit is a learning tool for homeschool families. It is not a school, does not enroll students, and does not issue diplomas or official transcripts.
- Cubit helps you track attendance, minutes, and progress, and reminds you about yearly testing. You are still responsible for following your own state's homeschool rules, such as filing any required notice with your state or school district, keeping required records, and arranging any required testing or evaluation. Cubit shows the rules for the state you pick at sign up, but that summary is general information, not legal advice, and state rules can change.
- Lessons are built to follow widely used grade level standards, but we do not promise any particular result, grade, or test score.
- You can change your child's level or override a grade at any time.
8. Using Cubit the right way
Please do not:
- Share your account with people outside your household
- Try to access another family's account or data
- Copy, resell, or republish Cubit lessons or content
- Try to break, overload, or get around the security of Cubit
- Use Cubit for anything illegal
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. If we do, we will tell you why, unless the law or safety prevents it.
9. Our content and your content
- Cubit lessons, designs, the Cubit name, and logo belong to us. Your subscription lets your family use them for your own homeschooling while your account is active.
- Your children's work and your records belong to your family. You can download them at any time. We use them only to run Cubit, as described in our Privacy Policy at cubitlearning.com/privacy and Kids' Privacy Notice.
- If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them to improve Cubit without owing you anything.
10. Reporting problems
If you find a wrong answer or a bug, use the report button or email [email protected]. We will look into every report.
11. Service availability
We work to keep Cubit running and save every answer, including offline. Still, Cubit is provided "as is," and we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. To the fullest extent the law allows, we do not make any promises about Cubit beyond those written in these Terms.
12. Limits on our responsibility
To the fullest extent the law allows:
- We are not responsible for indirect or unexpected losses, such as lost time or lost data that was not saved to Cubit.
- Our total responsibility to you for any claim about Cubit is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these Terms takes away rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.
13. Changes to these Terms
- For price or course changes, the 60 days' notice in section 6 always applies.
- For other changes to these Terms, we will post the new version with a new "Last updated" date and email you about any important change before it takes effect. If you keep using Cubit after a change takes effect, you accept the new Terms. If you do not agree, you can cancel at any time.
- Changes to how we handle children's information follow our Kids' Privacy Notice, which requires new parent consent first.
14. Governing law and disputes
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina and applicable United States law.
- Please contact us first. Most problems can be fixed with an email to [email protected].
- If we cannot resolve a dispute, it will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Lincoln County, North Carolina, unless the law requires otherwise. You may also bring a claim in small claims court if it qualifies.
15. Other terms
- If any part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
- If we do not enforce part of these Terms right away, we can still enforce it later.
- These Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Kids' Privacy Notice are the full agreement between you and Cubit.
